Nowadays the monitoring and diagnostics of epileptic patients are carry out in a hospital under the long-term control of a doctor. Uninterrupted monitoring of EEG allows detecting the approach of epilepsy seizure in 4-5 minutes and preventing it by injection if it is necessary. However this time of prediction is not always enough to prevent the seizure even in hospital and require the uninterrupted control of specialist. Out of hospital the unexpected epilepsy seizure can cause to incidents (on the road and etc.)
The known methods and algorithms of epilepsy seizure forecasting based on automatic EEG analysis doesn't provide the reliability and time detection long enough to use them in medical practice even in hospital.
Presented approach
- Allows to increase the prediction time to 15-20 minutes
- Doesn't required the obligatory uninterrupted monitoring of specialists
- Allows realizing the algorithm as a personal portable medical facility that can be used in the hospital and outside
