Smart Cutter service is designed as an aswer to the problem well known to the firms working with toner glass films. The typical problem is how to cut the film out, reducing the waste of the roll to the minimum. That is what the Smart Cutter service designed for. All the information this "smart cutter" needs to know is the width of the roll and the set of sheets to cut out of the roll.

This demo site offers easy-to-use interface for the Smart Cutter service. On the New Laying-Out page you can set the width of the roll and specify dimensions and quantity of sheets you need to cut out. At this time our "smart cutter" handles only sheets of rectangular shape. So if you need sheets of irregular form, you have to enclose them into rectangular areas.

On the Task Manager page you can see the progress of the tasks you have launched and get access to the laying-out results. It may take some time for the Smart Cutter to arrange the entire layout depending on the complexity of the task you have launched and the loading of the Smart Cutter server. But you may return to this site later to check availability of results.

Smart Cutter service uses combinatorial algorithm with regulated depth of the search to find optimal laying-out. Practical use of this algorithm have shown that it reduces waste of the film by 15-30% on average in comparison with the laying-out made by hand while saving valuable working time it takes to arrange layout manually.
